Welcome to the
Rockwood Ministerial Association
and the Food Pantry

The Rockwood Ministerial Association (RMA) is an all-volunteer organization.

One hundred percent (100%) of donations go to support the ministry of the RMA.

Besides the food pantry, we also support other hunger-related services, including the Second Harvest Food for Kids program. Food for Kids sends each of Rockwood's most at-need children home with a backpack full of kid-friendly food to help make sure they are eating over the weekend.

We also give a donation to support the ministry of the Love Kitchen, a free meal that is offered at 5 PM on the second and last Saturday of every month in the fellowship hall of the First Presbyterian Church.

RMA also gives out Christmas baskets in December. This past year about 285 families received a Christmas basket filled with food. This year we hope to give out over 300 Christmas baskets. Sign-up between 10 a.m. and noon weekdays from Nov. 10-21 in the Food Pantry. Bring identification and documentation of income. Or, help pack baskets Dec. 19 starting at 5:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church of Rockwood at 328 W. Rockwood Street.

Besides food and financial help, the RMA is an ecumenical voice in the community. We work to create a community of support and oneness amongst the churches by coordinating many community services throughout the year.

We have a baccalaureate service for graduates of Rockwood High School, a Thanksgiving service, and a summer Community Praise and Sing. We also plan Holy Week Luncheons during the week leading up to Easter. During Holy Week, the churches come together for a meal each day and share in a brief worship service.

Any Rockwood church is welcome to attend and be a part of the Rockwood Ministerial Association. Ministers and lay people are encouraged to attend and represent their congregation to support the work of the RMA.
